Global resources leader BHP announces a gift of $500,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston to allow the nonprofit to continue to provide essential services to youth and their families during the ongoing global pandemic. The company notes that today’s children are our future leaders, educators, scientists, lawyers and doctors, and shaping their lives for success starts now.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, my team and I realized that this was not going to be a two-week stay at home to flatten the curve event,” says Selby Bush, Head of Corporate Affairs at BHP. “This is going to be a long-lasting global event.”

“On a personal note, it was important to my team and me to take care of the most vulnerable in our population,” Bush continues. “The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston fit perfectly. They never once closed their doors during the pandemic.”
